Crystal Palace preview: Brilliant Palace

Crystal Palace were on an 18-match unbeaten run of form across all competitions and took the lead against Everton a couple of weeks ago before then suffering a 2-1 defeat to the Toffees at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.

The Eagles have been brilliant throughout the last few months and Oliver Glasner was also able to keep hold of captain Marc Guehi over the summer as they push for further silverware this year, such as the UEFA Europa Conference League.

Bournemouth preview: Push for Europe

Coached by former Rayo Vallecano boss Andoni Iraola, AFC Bournemouth come into this one on the back of a brilliant start to the season in which they begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting in the top four in the Premier League.

Prior to the October international break, the Cherries managed to come from behind to defeat Fulham by three goals to one at the Vitality Stadium with a brilliant brace scored by Ghana international attacker Antoine Semenyo.

Crystal Palace team news: Nothing new

In his pre-match press conference, Crystal Palace boss Oliver Glasner has confirmed that there are no fresh injury concerns for the Eagles and so they can name an unchanged eleven.

That does, though, mean that Morocco international centre-back Chadi Riad is still unavailable for the hosts and he remains a couple of weeks away.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Henderson; Richards, Lacroix, Guehi; Munoz, Wharton, Hughes, Mitchell; Sarr, Pino; Mateta

Unavailable: Riad (Injured), Kporha (Injured), Doucoure (Injured)

Questionable:

Bournemouth team news: Brooks injury

Over the international break, Wales international David Brooks has suffered a hamstring injury and he is now sidelined for the Cherries alongside former Getafe striker Enes Unal.

Julio Soler remains with Argentina at the FIFA U20 World Cup, whilst his compatriot Marcos Senesi will be assessed before the game after playing for the world champions in midweek. Adam Smith has returned to training.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Petrovic; Hill, Diakite, Senesi, Truffert; Adams, Scott; Tavernier, Kluivert, Semenyo; Evanilson

Unavailable: Soler (International duty), Brooks (Injured), Unal (Injured)

Questionable: Senesi (Fitness)

Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth prediction

Crystal Palace and AFC Bournemouth both play an intense and energetic style of football, albeit the visitors do play with a lot more of that intensity and pressing game. Palace have been a little more pragmatic under Glasner and that can often lead to games being decided by fine margins and them being generally low-scoring and so under 3.5 goals would appear a good bet for this one in Croydon.

Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth tip: Under 3.5 goals
