Cruz Azul vs Monterrey prediction

In the first-leg of this CONCACAF Champions Cup round of 16 tie, Cruz Azul managed to defeat Monterrey by three goals to two with a late turnaround. Roberto de la Rosa scored a brace to give Monterrey a first-half but going down to ten men cost them, with the Clausura leaders in Mexico turning the game on its head.

Cruz Azul have succumbed to just one defeat in their last 12 matches across all competitions, while Monterrey are in a transitional period.

With not much left to play for, Monterrey may well throw the kitchen sink at Cruz Azul but, with home advantage, Nicolas Larcamon’s side should come out on top.

Cruz Azul vs Monterrey tip: Cruz Azul to win & both teams to score
