Cronulla Sharks vs Parramatta Eels prediction
The Parramatta Eels come to Magic round well rested after a drought breaking Easter victory against the Wests Tigers and the Round 8 bye. Their form prior to that includes only the one other victory against the Dragons amongst several heavy defeats. The return of Micthell Moses however has given newfound confidence to the Eels as well as easing the pressure on halves partner Dylan Brown.
The Cronulla Sharks continue to be a difficult team to support. They squandered several opportunities both in regulation time and then again in the golden point period of a loss to the West Tigers last week. This followed wins over the Knights and Sea Eagles and another last second loss, this time in Canberra to the Raiders. The greatest knock against the Sharks is that they cannot beat teams above them on the ladder and are yet to prove their true premiership credentials. The blowtorch will continue to be applied to Nicho Hynes if they cannot get the job done against an Eels outfit still finding their identity under new coach Jason Ryles.
The Sharks and Eels have split their last six matches, 3 wins each. This will be the first meeting between the two sides outside of Sydney. We think the points will flow freely in this match and with dry conditions in the forecast, the points over is the play here.
