Cronulla Sharks vs Dolphins prediction

Both Cronulla and the Dolphins are coming off a bye and desperate to establish themselves in the top eight and away from the large contingent chasing a finals berth.

The Cronulla Sharks (10th) entered their bye week on a form slump, having lost four of their past five matches, including a 24-point loss to the Melbourne Storm in Round 17.

The Dolphins (7th) are one of the form teams of the competition, also coming off a bye but having won four out of their last five encounters. Their last outing was a high-scoring 50-28 win over the South Sydney Rabbitohs in Round 17.

Hooker Blayke Brailey has been a defensive workhorse, leading his team's efforts with a mammoth 730 tackles this season. He is also looking to run more recently and may look to take advantage when the forwards start to fatigue.

The “Hammer” Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow has been electric in 2025, currently sitting as the NRL's leading try-scorer with 15 tries.

The Dolphins have had the Sharks' number since entering the competition, winning each of their two previous encounters. They will be aiming to maintain their perfect record against the Cronulla side.

This is a classic desperation vs. momentum clash. The Sharks must find their early-season form to overcome a confident and high-flying Dolphins outfit.
