THE LOWDOWN

Kent put up a great fight in their first Bob Willis Trophy match without three key players through England duty, but went down narrowly by two wickets away at local rivals Essex. Sussex however, beat their local rivals at Hove, overcoming a weakened Hampshire side inside three days.

THE PREDICTION

Sam Billings returns to the fold for Kent in this match, however the centurion from their last match will miss out as Heino Kuhn is currently with his wife awaiting the arrival of his first child. The availability of Billings is a big boost for Kent, who put up a good account of themselves against the County Champions. This looks like a very close encounter on paper, but home advantage could prove crucial with a pitch being prepared to suit the hosts. If Kent maintain the same levels as they showed at Chelmsford, then they should come out on top here.
