THE PREDICTION
It’s difficult not to feel sympathy for Surrey who are missing almost a full first XI due to England callups and injuries. However, they have signed batsman Laurie Evans and bowler Adam Finch on loan for this game which should provide them with a boost. Essex remain without batsman Dan Lawrence and may rotate their bowling attack, however providing the likes of Sir Alastair Cook can build on his 66 against Kent last time out, then they should be able to win here at home.
