Coventry vs Birmingham prediction

Coventry City remain unbeaten after six matches so far this season but four draws have undermined the Sky Blues’ push for the top two and promotion spots. Frank Lampard’s side have struggled for goals outside of scoring five in a 5-3 win against Derby County and seven in a 7-1 defeat of Queens Park Rangers.

Birmingham City have also lacked a consistent fluency in the final third, requiring late goals to snatch victories this season in what has been a steady return to the second-tier. Lyndon Dykes scored a second-half stoppage-time winner in their most recent outing as they defeated Swansea City by a goal to nil at St Andrew’s last weekend.

These are two sides that have a lot of attacking talent and potential, but they are also sides that are perhaps being a little too cautious on the ball and it should therefore be a low-scoring affair.

Coventry vs Birmingham tip: Under 2.5 goals
