Copenhagen vs Chelsea Prediction
Copenhagen came through a hard-fought and dramatic knockout playoff round tie against Heidenheim to reach this stage as they now face a Round of 16 tie against the tournament favourites Chelsea, who have struggled in the last couple of months.
In that clash with Bundesliga side Heidenheim last month, Copenhagen came from behind to win 4-3 on aggregate with an extra-time winner in Germany at the Voith-Arena. They were held to a goalless draw by Aalborg at the weekend to mean they are now unbeaten in their last four matches across all competitions.
Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea have been a little underwhelming, lacking the cohesion they had in the first-half of the campaign. The Blues did manage to hammer a sorry Southampton side last week at Stamford Bridge but that win is only accompanied by victories at home to Morecambe, West Ham United and Wolverhampton Wanderers since before Christmas.
Copenhagen will set up defensively and try to frustrate a Chelsea side lacking fluency and form at the moment. Chelsea are favourites but it may end up being a struggle in the Danish capital.
Copenhagen vs Chelsea Tip: Chelsea to win & under 3.5 goals
