Copenhagen vs Basel prediction

In an even contest in the first-leg of this UEFA Champions League playoff round tie at St. Jakob-Park in Switzerland last week, Basel and Copenhagen shared a 1-1 draw. Veteran Switzerland international attacker Xherdan Shaqiri opened the scoring in the 14th minute before Gabriel Pereira equalised in first-half stoppage-time. Basel centre-back Jonas Adjetey was then sent off deep into the second-half.

Since that first-leg, Copenhagen then managed to share a 1-1 draw with Odense, as they sit at the top-of-the-table domestically after six matches. They face a Basel side that have endured a very average start to their Swiss Super League season.

Basel have been reasonably entertaining this season, and they do have some talent, but Copenhagen are the firm favourites for this one with their home advantage.
