Key Stats

  • Madagascar have won all the previous three World Cup qualifying matches between these teams.
  • Madagascar have won five of their last seven World Cup qualifying matches (D1 L1).

Comoros vs Madagascar Prediction

In the eight games in Group I of CAF qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Ghana sit on 19 points and look set to qualify for the tournament with Madagascar three points behind and then Comoros a point further back than that, with the latter two still in with a chance of finishing first but primarily fighting to finish as one of the eight best second place teams in CAF qualifying, as they push for an intercontinental playoff berth.

Comoros’ most recent outing saw them defeat a poor Central African Republic side by two goals to nil in Morocco last month, whilst Madagascar eased past one of the weakest African sides, Chad, by three goals to one at Stade Larbi Zaouli.

Madagascar head to Comoros believing that the avoidance of defeat can get them into the playoff system in Africa. Regardless of the end match result, it is expected to be a low-scoring encounter.

Comoros vs Madagascar Tip: Under 2.5 goals
