Como preview: Entertaining Como
Coached by Cesc Fabregas, Como once again spent heavily over the summer with the ambition being to break into a UEFA competition this season – and it has been a strong start to the campaign for the hosts thus far.
Como were most recently held to a frustrating goalless draw against struggling Parma at the Ennio Tardini at the weekend. They have suffered just one defeat in their eight matches as they sit tucked inside the top six.
Hellas Verona preview: Struggling Verona
Hellas Verona begin the ninth match day of the 2025/26 Serie A season sitting just outside of the bottom three and the relegation places with no wins thus far and the pressure now mounting on former Empoli boss Paolo Zanetti.
The visitors come into this one on the back of a 2-2 draw against Cagliari at the Marcantonio Bentegodi the other day in a game in which Verona had been 2-0 up until the 77th minute and then conceded a very late equaliser.
Como team news: Couple of doubts

Unavailable: Dossena (Injured)

Hellas Verona team news: Fresh doubts
Ahead of the trip to Como this midweek, Verona have a couple of fresh injury doubts as defender Unai Nunez is potentially sidelined alongside midfielder Grigoris Kastanos.
Predicted XI (3-5-2): Montipo; Bella-Kotchap, Nelsson, Valentini; Belghali, Serdar, Gagliardini, Akpa-Akpro, Bradaric; Giovane, Orban
Unavailable: Al Musrati (Injured), Oyegoke (Injured), Suslov (Injured)
Questionable: Unai Nunez (Injured), Kastanos (Injured)
Como vs Hellas Verona prediction
Como have been very good to watch in terms of their intensity and the style in which they play, and they have started well in terms of results but the fact that they have scored nine goals in eight games with the abundance of attacking options that they have is a bit underwhelming. They face a Verona side that lack much cohesion, despite their own attack being bolstered in the summer transfer window and Como should come out on top in this one, especially with their home advantage.
