Como preview: Back in form
The ambitious and big spending Como have come through a tough run of form over the festive period to find themselves back right in contention for potential UEFA Champions League qualification with the impressive and still developing coaching credentials of Cesc Fabregas at the helm.
The hosts come into this one on the back of a 3-0 hammering of a struggling Pisa side in their most recent outing, last weekend. That impressive and comfortable win backed up victories against Udinese and Lecce, both also coming with a clean sheet as well as a slick performance on the ball.
Bologna preview: Still out of form
Bologna, the 2025 Coppa Italia winners, are known for playing some of the best football in Italy under the management of Vincenzo Italiano, but they are also dealing with a rocky patch of form over the winter, despite reaching the final of the Supercoppa Italiana in Saudi Arabia a few weeks ago.
The visitors' most recent outing saw them beaten 2-0 by Atalanta at the Renato Dall'Ara in midweek, continuing their average form. That loss to the Bergamasci means that they are now winless inside 90 minutes in their last six matches across all competitions.
Como team news: Jacobo suspended
Former Real Madrid defender Jacobo is missing through suspension, while key attacking trio Assane Diao, Jayden Addai and Alvaro Morata are all confirmed injury absentees.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Butez; Smolcic, Posch, Kempf, Alex Valle; Maximo Perrone, Da Cunha; Kuhn, Nico Paz, Jesus Rodriguez; Douvikas

Questionable:
Bologna team news: Still no Bernadeschi
Federico Bernadeschi suffered a broken collarbone in the Supercoppa Italiana and he remains a confirmed absentee, while Lukasz Skorupski is a doubt due to a thigh injury.
Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Ravaglia; Zortea, Vitik, Heggem, Juan Miranda; Ferguson, Freuler; Orsolini, Fabbian, Cambiaghi; Dallinga
Unavailable: Bernadeschi (Injured)
Questionable: Skorupski (Injured)
Como vs Bologna prediction
These are two of the more enterprising and progressive teams in Serie A. Como are in much better form, though, despite a few key injury issues of late. Bologna aren't under pressure but may throw everything at it to try and spark something but a Como win is to be expected.
