Colchester United sit firmly in the middle-of-the-table and frustrated in their pursuit of promotion as they now take on a still fighting Walsall side, reeling from another collapse.

Colchester vs Walsall prediction

Danny Cowley and his Colchester side head into this one in the back of a slender 1-0 loss to Bromley last week. That means that the home team have now managed just one victory in their last six matches in League Two.

Walsall put in one of the biggest collapses in EFL history last season. The Saddlers collapsed again this year and eventually parted company with Mat Sadler. The visitors have now collected seven points from three matches under the interim management of Darren Byfield.

It is expected to be a low-scoring clash but, with their improved recent run of form, siding with Walsall may well be a good bet for this one at the Colchester Community Stadium.

Colchester vs Walsall tip: Double chance - Walsall to win or draw
