Colchester vs Crewe prediction

Coached by former Portsmouth boss Danny Cowley, Colchester United have started the season with just one victory in their opening six matches. The U’s were expected to challenge for the top three and automatic promotion this season, but it has been a typically dull and uninspiring start to the campaign.

They now face a Crewe Alexandra side that started their League Two season with four successive victories. The Railwaymen have sine, though, suffered back-to-back losses in the league before they then dispatched of a heavily rotated Chesterfield side by seven goals to one in the EFL Trophy in midweek.

Crewe look like they have at least found some confidence again, and they will be buoyant as they head to a Colchester side currently struggling to get themselves over the line.

Colchester vs Crewe tip: Double chance – Crewe to win or draw
