Club America come into this one on the back of a comfortable 2-0 defeat of Mazatlan in the Clausura of this season’s Liga MX at the weekend. The home team have now enjoyed three successive victories across all competitions.
One of those wins came in the first-leg of this CONCACAF Champions Cup second round last week with America defeating Philly by a goal to nil, with Union in average form across all competitions at the start of this campaign.
Philadelphia need to focus on domestic matters with four defeats from four in the 2026 MLS season and America, with their home advantage, have to be viewed as favourites.
