Chile vs Mexico prediction

Chile will have the crowd firmly behind them in Valparaiso as they look to seal a place in the quarter-finals, but Mexico came through a tough Group C as the only nation undefeated out of themselves, Morocco, Spain and Brazil. This emphasises just how difficult an opponent they are and Chile will need to be at their very best to advance.

It would be no surprise if little was to separate these two. Chile will surely improve their levels of performance following back-to-back defeats but they come up against a side who are yet to be beaten. Extra time feels like a distinct possibility between these two and backing a draw across 90 minutes warrants serious consideration.

Chile vs Mexico tip: Draw
