Chile vs Japan prediction

A tough clash for Chile is in prospect here against a Japanese side who were 2-0 winners last time out vs Egypt. Strong from a defensive perspective, Chile will need to be at their best to break down Japan, but also solid themselves at the back and ensuring that they aren’t vulnerable on the counter-attack. Of course, the home advantage must be taken into account as the fans will push on Chile and give them that extra burst of energy towards the end of the game as we saw in their late win over New Zealand.

It may well be that separating these two nations will be tough. Both impressive squads with substantial depth, this should be a closely-fought affair. With Chile and Japan having each won in the first round of fixtures, a draw wouldn’t be a bad result for either and backing that outcome warrants serious consideration.

Chile vs Japan tip: Draw
