Chesterfield vs Bristol Rovers prediction

Having reached the playoffs following National League promotion last season, Paul Cook’s Chesterfield were always expected to continue to build and improve this season. They began with a 1-0 victory over Barrow in Derbyshire on the opening day, before then professionally defeating Cheltenham Town by two goals to nil.

Bristol Rovers were also expected to be among the contenders for the title this season, and probably still will be, but it has been a poor start for Gas, following the return of Darrell Clarke. The Bristolians began with a surprise loss at home to Harrogate Town, before then suffering a 2-1 defeat at Highbury against Fleetwood Town last weekend.

Bristol Rovers are figuring things out and trying to find the right formula, so it is fairly ill-timed to then have to go away to a controlling and well grooved Chesterfield side.

Chesterfield vs Bristol Rovers tip: Chesterfield to win & under 3.5 goals
