Celta Vigo vs Lille prediction

Claudio Giraldez’ Celta Vigo come into this one on the back of an impressive 3-0 defeat of Rayo Vallecano in the north west of Spain at the weekend. That victory has made it three wins on the bounce since returning from the mid-season winter break as they sit tucked inside the top seven in La Liga.

They now face a Lille side that, coached by Bruno Genesio, have been brilliant to watch themselves with their 18 games having consisted of 58 goals in Ligue 1. They have suffered three defeats in their last four matches in the league phase of the UEFA Europa League, leaving them on nine points after six matches.

Both Celta and Lille will expect to go deep into this competition but they are in a precarious position in terms of securing a top 24 finish. They are both fun to watch and both need to win so both teams scoring seems a good bet for this one.
