Celje snuck into the knockout phase play-offs via goal difference and now face a tough two-legged tie with APOEL.

Kick-off date/time: Thursday February 13th 2025: UK – 5:45pm / US ET – 12:45pm / US PT – 9:45am

How to watch on TV: UK – TNT Sports 9 / US – Not televised

How to watch online: UK – discovery+ / US – Paramount+

Celje vs APOEL Prediction

Celje have already succeeded in Europe by reaching this stage of the Conference League, but they head into this tie as huge underdogs. The first-leg will be important, but APOEL are formidable opposition and will be expected to comfortably advance. The biggest challenge will be keeping out the Cyprian giants, especially when taking into account Celje’s defensive frailties.

Of the 16 clubs who are competing in the knockout phase play-offs, Celje conceded the joint-highest number of goals across the league phase, shipping 13 goals over the course of six games, an average of over two goals per match. It’s hard to see the hosts being able to shut down APOEL, who boast enough quality to create a significant number of opportunities and should outscore Celje over the course of this first leg.

Celje vs APOEL Tip: APOEL to win
