Castleford Tigers vs York Knights prediction

Castleford are coming off a much-needed win last time out against Toulouse as they beat the French side 36-18 in what was their sixth win in 15 matches.

The Tigers had gone down to the Catalans and Leigh in the previous two weeks but that win just lifts them away from the teams at the bottom.

They can welcome back Semi Valemei after suspension which is a boost in what is the only change to their squad.

They welcome York Knights who have positive news of their own as Paul McShane returns to face his former club.

His experience will be a welcome boost especially after they have conceded 110 points combined in losses to Hull KR and Wigan Warriors in the last two matches.

They have lost their last six matches in a row and they need something to turn for them.

They may well have to wait however as they are catching the Tigers at the wrong time. Cas are playing as well as they have all season and there are positive signs in the camp. The home side are given a 14-point advantage which seems a little too much however especially in the heat.

We lean towards the Knights to show some character and at least keep this scoreline within the handicap, even though a defeat is likely on the cards.

Castleford Tigers vs York Knights tip: York Knights +14.5 points
