Cardiff City vs Chelsea prediction

Confidence is sky-high within the Cardiff City camp after what has been a hugely successful season so far that sees them top of League One and into the League Cup quarter-final following wins over the likes of Championship club Wrexham and Premier League side Burnley. They can approach this clash with Chelsea as a free hit and having scored ten goals across their last three home league games, the Bluebirds have every reason to believe that they can cause Enzo Maresca’s men some serious concern.

But Chelsea obviously boasts the stronger squad with significant depth and this is the sort of test which they’ll be expected to pass. Coming off the back of a 2-0 win at home to Everton, Chelsea needs to kick on. But they face a real banana-skin in the Welsh capital and backing both teams to score when considering Cardiff’s recent attacking prowess and expected no-fear approach is a move worth making.

Cardiff City vs Chelsea tip: Both teams to score
