Cannes vs Reims Prediction

Cannes have enjoyed a remarkable campaign thus far. They currently sit third in Group A of the Championnat National 2 as they chase Le Puy and Hyeres in the league, searching for promotion back to the third-tier. They defeated Ligue 2 side Guingamp by three goals to one at home in the quarter-finals of the cup in late February.

They now face a Stade de Reims side that have endured a turbulent campaign this season with Luka Elsner sacked as they battle against the drop. However, in Samba Diawara’s first game, they defeated Angers on penalties in the quarters of this competition before yet another poor run of form in the league ended at the weekend by a 3-1 win over Marseille.

Reims will believe that victory is them turning the corner and, despite the heroics of Cannes so far this season, siding with the visitors to make the Coupe de France final looks a good bet.
