Cannes vs Guingamp Prediction

Cannes sit at the top of Group A in Championnat National 2, which is one section of the fourth-tier, but, as they chase promotion, their focus will entirely be on this clash against Guingamp in which, whoever, wins, will be a major surprise semi-finalist in the Coupe de France.

Cannes most recently defeated Saint-Priest by two goals to one in the league at the weekend. Their run to this stage of the competition has seen them defeat SU Dives in the previous round and Ligue 2 giants Lorient the round before. They have also beaten Grau-du-Roi, Ales and Grenoble to reach this stage of the competition.

Guingamp sit fifth in Ligue 2 after a 1-1 draw with the aforementioned Grenoble at the weekend. They have been inconsistent in the second-tier of late with one win in their last four matches. In the cup, they defeated Toulouse at Stadium de Toulouse in the Round of 16 after having beaten Caen, Dinan Lehon and Serquigny Nassandres up to this stage.

Despite having made this stage of the competition with a couple of upsets, it has still been a fortuitous run for Cannes and Guingamp would be favourites down on the French Riviera.

Cannes vs Guingamp Tip: Guingamp to win & under 3.5 goals
