Canada vs Wales prediction

Second seeds Canada made a storming start to their Women’s World Cup campaign with a 65-7 victory over Fiji last weekend, with full-back Julia Schell stealing the show by scoring six tries in the second half.

One of the pre-tournament favourites to go all the way, head coach Kevin Rouet will have been delighted with what he saw and he has urged his players to use the pressure on them as a motivator to drive them to success.

Wales are already on the verge of elimination after a sorry display against Scotland last weekend saw them lose 38-8 to their British rivals.

Head coach Sean Lynn has made seven starting changes as he seeks to switch things up, but it is difficult to see them troubling a nation they haven’t defeated in nearly 20 years.

Canada have a significant edge in every position and they can make another big statement here with a convincing victory.
