Canada vs Switzerland prediction
Since being beaten by USA, Canada have reeled off back-to-back victories with a whopping nine goals scored. The most recent of those came in the quarter-finals against Germany, which saw Canada do a professional job, come out of the traps quickly and put the Germans away with two first period goals which left them chasing the game throughout. That suited Canada perfectly, who added three further goals therefore with Germany only grabbing one.
Marie-Philip Poulin’s return to the ice was notable, as was her goal and the Canadian captain’s presence immediately makes her team stronger, both on and off the ice. Switzerland are no strangers when it comes to facing Canada, having lost to them in Group A. They couldn’t find a way past the Canadian defence in that match with the score ending 0-4 to Troy Ryan’s side.
It's hard to see this semi-final not having a similar outcome. No team have proven themselves more adept at finding their best form when the tournament reaches the knockout stage and with Poulin back, Canada are expected to once again outclass the Swiss.
