Canada vs Australia prediction

The heavily-fancied Canada progressed from Pool B with maximum points, following up their convincing defeats of Fiji (69-17) and Wales (42-0) with a 40-19 triumph over second-placed Scotland.

The number two-ranked nation were runners up in 2014, and given the fact they boast some of the most exciting players in world rugby, are still dreaming of winning their first ever Women’s World Cup.

Australia’s path to the last eight wasn’t so smooth, with the Wallaroos ultimately finishing ahead of third-placed USA on points difference.

Joanne Yapp’s side lost to tournament hosts England last week (47-7), which followed a handsome victory over Samoa (73-0) and a thrilling draw with the aforementioned USA (31-31).

Canada were altogether more convincing in the pool stage though, and their superiority should tell here with a relatively comfortable victory.
