Key Stats

  • Cameroon have lost only one of their last ten World Cup qualifying matches (W6 D3).
  • Cameroon have won eight of their last nine World Cup qualifying matches in Cameroon (L1).
  • Cameroon have lost only one of their last 49 World Cup qualifying matches in Cameroon.
  • Angola have lost only two of their last 11 World Cup qualifying matches (W2 D7).

Cameroon vs Angola Prediction

Under the management of former Oud-Heverlee Leuven boss Marc Brys, the Cameroonians have been reasonably impressive and difficult to beat. However, a 1-0 loss to Cape Verde away from home last month means that The Lions of Teranga find themselves in the unenviable position of having to win this game and hoping that Cape Verde fail to beat a very poor Eswatini side at the same time.

Cameroon come into this one on the back of a comfortable 2-0 victory over Mauritius the other day, courtesy of goals from Michael Ngamaleu and Bryan Mbeumo. They face an Angola side that have underperformed and underwhelmed in this qualifying campaign.

Cameroon do look like they will have to settle for the playoff places but they are the firm favourites to at least ensure they keep the pressure up on Cape Verde.

Cameroon vs Angola Tip: Cameroon to win
