Cagliari preview: Steady Sardinians
Following the departure of Davide Nicola to Cremonese over the summer, Cagliari replaced him with the inexperienced Tommaso Giulini and things have improved as they sit firmly in the middle-of-the-table after six games.
The Sardinians have managed two victories with two draws and two defeats thus far, most recently sharing a 1-1 draw against Udinese at the Bluenergy Stadium in Friuli a couple of weeks ago.
Bologna preview: Pushing for Europe
In the last couple of seasons, Bologna have turned themselves into a force and a challenger for Europe in Italy, but they collapsed at the back end of last season and have required improvement this time around.
After a slow-ish start to the season, they have been strong of late and went into the October international break on the back of a 4-0 hammering of Pisa, courtesy of goals from Nicolo Cambiaghi, Nikolas Moro, Riccardo Orsolini and Jens Odgaard.
Cagliari team news: Several doubts
Gennaro Borrelli, who scored a couple of weeks ago, is one of a number of doubts for this weekend, alongside the likes of Gianluca Gaetano and Marko Rog.
Predicted XI (3-5-2): Caprile; Ze Pedro, Luperto, Obert; Palestra, Deiola, Prati, Folorunsho, Felici; Esposito, Pavoletti

Cagliari vs Bologna prediction
Cagliari come into this one on the back of a steady start to the season and they will be expected to be able to take the game to Bologna with the impressive coaching of Giulini. Bologna head across to the isle of Sardinia with their own improved level of cohesion in the final third and so this may actually turn out to be a surprisingly entertaining encounter for the neutral.
