Key Stats

  • The overall head-to-head record in 11 previous international matches between Burundi and Kenya is level with three wins each and four draws.
  • None of Burundi’s last 23 World Cup qualifying matches finished without a goal being scored. The last 0-0 was against Gabon in October 2003.
  • Kenya have lost only three of their last ten World Cup qualifying matches (W3 D4).

Burundi vs Kenya Prediction

In their opening six matches of their campaign, Burundi had enjoyed three victories and a draw as they sought to compete with both the Ivory Coast and Gabon in Group F of CAF qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. They have now slipped to three defeats from their last four matches as they stumble towards the end of this cycle.

They now take on a Kenya side that are seeking to try and finish as high as third in Group F, with a victory in their most recent outing. The Kenyans hammered the Seychelles by five goals to nil at the Moi International Sports Centre last month. That was their second victory in this qualifying campaign.

It has to be said, though, that the Kenyans were beating an extremely poor Seychelles side and a Burundi victory, with their home advantage, remains the likeliest outcome.
