Burnley vs Cardiff City prediction

Burnley have been known more for their defensive resilience under Scott Parker, but they’ll the ones expected to play on the front foot against Cardiff City, who will likely sit in, defend deep and invite Burnley to try and break them down with a view of hitting them on the counter attack. The Clarets will need to be aware of that and balance an attacking playstyle with not being caught out at the other end of the pitch.

All signs point to this game being a low-scoring one. Burnley’s last two games have seen them score just one goal, whilst Cardiff already boast six clean sheets in all competitions so far this season and should deploy a defensive set-up here, not letting Burnley play through them easily. Therefore, backing under 2.5 goals to be scored has to be favoured.

Burnley vs Cardiff City tip: Under 2.5 goals
