Burkina Faso are re-establishing themselves as a bit of a force in African international football as they now take on Benin in Ouagadougou on Friday.

Burkina Faso vs Benin Prediction
Burkina Faso come into this one on the back of an entertaining 2-2 draw with Belarus in the summer. That means that they have lost just three of their last 18 matches – against Cote d’Ivoire, Algeria and Russia.
Benin reached the round of 16 at the CAF Africa Cup of Nations at the start of the year, eventually beaten after extra-time by Egypt. After that they earned 1-0 victories against Liberia and Guinea, drew with Niger and then lost 5-1 to Togo.
That loss to the Togolese will still have Benin reeling after they narrowly missed out on FIFA World Cup 2026 qualification last autumn and Burkina Faso do have to be viewed as favourites with home advantage.
