Bristol City vs Sunderland prediction

Bristol City begin the Good Friday round of fixtures in the Championship sitting tucked inside the top six and the playoff places with a four-point lead over seventh. The Robins were held to a 1-1 draw by Queens Park Rangers at Loftus Road last weekend with George Earthy scoring after Karamoko Dembele had opened the scoring for QPR in west London.

They now take on a Sunderland side that begin the 43rd match day of the 2024/25 campaign now 12 points adrift of the automatic promotion spots but also 16 points clear of seventh and 12 clear of fifth so, frankly, there is basically nothing for the Black Cats to play for after their 1-0 defeat to Swansea City at the Stadium of Light last weekend.

Bristol City have been difficult to beat for a few months now and, with home advantage as well as much-needed added motivation, would have to be slight favourites for this one.

Bristol City vs Sunderland tip: Double chance – Bristol City to win or draw
