Coached by Gerhard Struber, Bristol City come into this one on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Millwall at The Den the other day. That leaves the Robins now sitting eighth in the table and two points outside of the top six and the playoff places ahead of this weekend’s round of fixtures.
Portsmouth come into this one on the back of a dramatic victory the other day. Pompey took a 69th minute lead via Conor Shaughnessy before a late Harvey Knibbs equaliser for Charlton Athletic in the 97th minute, but less than a minute or so later, Yang Min-hyeok scored a dramatic winner for Pompey.
That leaves the visitors sitting outside of the bottom three and a difficult team to play against and the expectation is for a low-scoring encounter to kick off 2025.
