Brisbane Roar vs Wellington Phoenix prediction

Defeats for both Auckland FC and Sydney FC have opened the door for Brisbane Roar to take advantage. Three points here will see Michael Valkanis’ side leapfrog both and go top of the A-League table, at least temporarily with Sydney FC playing later in the day. With motivation high and home advantage in their favour, expect a fired-up Brisbane to come out of the traps flying in a bid to get ahead of Wellington Phoenix early on.

Wellington have lost three of their last four league games and defensively, cannot contain their opponents. They’ve shipped 12 goals over the course of those four matches, an average of three per game which is the minimum number of goals in which the Phoenix have conceded across their most recent three defeats. Brisbane’s attacking players should be afforded plenty of joy and are well worth backing to fire the hosts to victory.
