Only Perth Glory finished with less points than Brisbane Roar last season, the latter having lost 15 of their 26 A-League fixtures. This underlines the need for significant improvement within the football club heading into the new campaign it will be interesting to see what sort of Brisbane Roar takes to the field under new boss Michael Valkanis.

Macarthur ended with 12 points and four wins more than Brisbane, but they too were on the outside looking in when it came to the top six. Usually, it takes time for a team under the command of a new head coach to fully implement their ideas and gameplans onto the field and when taking this into account, it would be no surprise to see a disjointed Brisbane. Therefore, look at utilising the double chance market to back Macarthur gaining at least a point if not all three.
