Brentford preview: Middling form
Brentford picked up their first away points of the season when they defeated struggling West Ham 0-2 on Monday, with Igor Thiago and Mathias Jensen scoring late in either half.
Keith Andrews' side have generally been solid in their own backyard having picked up seven points from the 12 available so far with their only home defeat coming against Erling Haaland-inspired Man City at the beginning of October.
Liverpool preview: Crisis over?
Liverpool's blip became something of a mini crisis last Sunday with Arne Slot's side losing 1-2 at home to bitter rivals Man Utd. At the time, it represented the fourth straight defeat in all competitions for the reigning Premier League champions.
A 1-5 victory over Frankfurt in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday stopped the rot though, and Slot will hope his men can use that result as a springboard for an improved run of results domestically.

Jeremie Frimpong's injury-plagued debut season at Liverpool suffered another blow midweek and he will now miss at least a couple of games with a hamstring complaint.
Alexander Isak also went off injured against Frankfurt but Slot has stated that he has a chance of being involved, as does Ryan Gravenberch, while Andy Robertson could remain at left-back in place of under-performing summer signing Milos Kerkez.

Brentford vs Liverpool prediction
Brentford are yet to truly convince under Keith Andrews and the jury is still out on the former Republic of Ireland international. A positive result in a fixture like this, though, would go a long way to convincing Bees fans that he is the man for the job.
You could almost see the confidence returning to this Liverpool side in their midweek thrashing of Frankfurt, with summer acquisition Florian Wirts finally looking at home in a Liverpool shirt as he registered his first goal involvements for the club.
Given the quality they possess, it is surely only a matter of time before they kick back into gear in the Premier League, and that could start in this fixture against a side still finding their feet under a new manager.
