Gervonta Davis (25-0) will look to continue the stunning start he has made to his career as he puts his unbeaten record on the line against Isaac Cruz. Known as the ‘Tank’, Davis has lived up to that nickname with an incredible 24 KOs from his 25 wins to date and that phenomenal record makes him difficult to oppose.
Isaac Cruz (22-1-1) will face the biggest fight of his career as he does battle for the WBA lightweight world title. He will need to dispossess current holder Gervonta Davis and the Mexican faces an uphill task to do so despite winning his two fights earlier in the year. He won both of those by unanimous decision and while he possesses plenty of power himself with 15 KOs from his 22 wins, he will struggle to make that count against Davis.
THE PREDICTION
Gervonta Davis is a KO machine with him only failing to stop one of his 25 opponents to date. He will defend his WBA lightweight world title in this bout with another dangerous opponent in the shape of Isaac Cruz. The Mexican has not lost since 2016 and will believe he is good enough to pose Davis issues but this is step up in class for the 23-year-old and the American should prove to have too much power for his opponent.
