Key Stats

  • Botswana have lost only two of their last ten World Cup qualifying matches in Botswana (W6 D2).
  • Uganda are unbeaten in their previous six international matches against Botswana (W4 D2). They have won the last four.
  • Uganda have won their last three World Cup qualifying matches without conceding a goal.

Botswana vs Uganda Prediction

With two games of CAF qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup to go, Algeria sit at the top with 19 points collected from their eight matches. They sit four clear of both Uganda and Mozambique, who are battling for the runner up spot but could still theoretically topple the Algerians. Botswana sit second-bottom in the group but they themselves have still earned a reasonable points tally of nine points.

Botswana did suffer back-to-back defeats during the September international break, losing 3-1 to the aforementioned Algerians and then 2-0 to Mozambique. Uganda head to Botswana seeking to heap the pressure on Algeria.

Uganda have achieved relative success in this qualifying campaign via a low-scoring and defensive style of football and so a low-scoring encounter is to be expected.

Botswana vs Uganda Tip: Under 2.5 goals
