Botswana vs Mauritania Prediction

Botswana have only ever qualified for one previous CAF Africa Cup of Nations, being knocked out in the group stages of the 2012 tournament, but they have a massive chance here.

‘The Zebras’ have started their qualifying campaign with two victories and two defeats in their opening four matches. They sit six points behind Egypt at the top of the group but a surprise defeat of Cabo Verde leaves them in an excellent position at this stage.

Mauritania are rock-bottom in Group C with one victory and three defeats in their opening four matches. They were solid in their most recent outing against Egypt in Nouakchott as they suffered a 1-0 loss in the Mauritanian capital city.

Neither of these two sides are overly impressive but Botswana do have a slight advantage in this one against Mauritania with home advantage at the Obed Itani Chilume Stadium in Francistown.

Botswana vs Mauritania Tip: Botswana to win & under 3.5 goals
