Borussia Dortmund preview: Impressive Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund come into this one on the back of an impressive 3-0 hammering of Union Berlin in the German capital city at the weekend in the Bundesliga, courtesy of goals from Emre Can, Nico Schlotterbeck and Maximilian Beier.

The hosts, under the management of former Bayern Munich boss Niko Kovac, Dortmund begin the final match day in the league phase of the UEFA Champions League sitting just a couple of points outside of the top eight.

Inter Milan preview: Strong Inter

Internazionale came from 2-0 down against a struggling Pisa side at the weekend to hammer the Tuscans by six goals to two to remain at the top-of-the-table in Serie A, thanks to strikes from six different goal scorers.

Cristian Chivu has struggled in the so-called ‘bigger games’ so far this season, perhaps best shown by the fact that, despite their generally excellent form, they succumbed to a 3-1 loss to Arsenal at San Siro last week.

Borussia Dortmund team news: Svensson suspended

As a result of his red card against Spurs, Daniel Svensson is now missing through suspension. Aaron Anselmino has also been recalled by Chelsea from his loan stint. Waldemar Anton is also unavailable due to an infection.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Kobel; Can, Schlotterbeck, Bensebaini; Couto, Bellingham, Nmecha, Ryerson; Adeyemi, Brandt; Guirassy

Unavailable: Svensson (Suspended), Anton (Illness)

Questionable: Sabitzer (Injured)

Inter Milan team news: Nothing fresh

There are no fresh injury concerns or suspension issues for Inter to deal with, with only wing-back Denzel Dumfries and midfielder Hakan Calhanoglu still sidelined for the visitors.

Predicted XI (3-5-2): Sommer; Akanji, Acerbi, Bastoni; Henrique, Barella, Zielinski, Sucic, Dimarco; Martinez, Thuram

Unavailable: Palacios (Injured), Dumfries (Injured), Calhanoglu (Injured)

Questionable:

Borussia Dortmund vs Inter Milan prediction

Borussia Dortmund will get themselves on the front foot here and hope for things to fall into place for the Yellow-Blacks to squeeze out a top eight finish. Inter will head into this one aware of their poor performances and results in those ‘big’ games and this one could be quite tough for the Nerazzurri and a double chance bet in favour of the hosts may well be the way to go for this one.

Borussia Dortmund vs Inter Milan Tip: Double chance – Borussia Dortmund to win or draw
