It wouldn’t be a seismic upset in the third round of the FA Cup but non-league Boreham Wood will fancy their chances to write some history as they face Burton Albion.

Boreham Wood vs Burton prediction

Boreham Wood have produced some upsets in the past and now the Londoners are out for some more. The home team come into this one on the back of a 2-1 defeat of Solihull Moors just before the turn of the year, making it three wins on the bounce as they sit second in the table in the National League.

They now face a Burton Albion side that, under the management of former Blackburn Rovers boss Gary Bowyer, have been steady once again in League One, albeit they do remain involved in relegation battle. The Brewers will be focused on the third-tier, though, and so may heavily rotate here.

Given that likely rotation, and a lack of quality depth, with home advantage for Boreham Wood and their excellent form themselves, an upset appears on the cards here.
