Bolton vs Plymouth prediction

Bolton Wanderers massively underwhelmed last season but will be expected to once again challenge for promotion from League One this season. The Trotters began the season with a reasonable performance at Edgeley Park last weekend on the opening day, but eventually succumbed to a 2-0 loss to a strong Stockport County side.

Having been relegated from the Championship last season, Miron Muslic departed the club and he was replaced by Tom Cleverley at Plymouth Argyle. The Pilgrims have seen quite a few departures from their squad this summer, and they began their season with a 3-1 defeat at home to Barnsley last weekend.

It seems as though Plymouth will take their time to get into this season, but Bolton lack quality in the final third of the pitch, so a low-scoring home win seems the likeliest outcome.

Bolton vs Plymouth tip: Bolton to win & under 3.5 goals
