Steve Bruce took charge of an underperforming Blackpool side, and eventually finished the campaign with the Tangerines extremely well as they pushed towards the top six and the playoff places. They have embarked upon an impressive summer transfer window and will be viewed as one of the favourites to get themselves up this season.

Stevenage, despite many neutrals perhaps dismissing them as one of the smaller clubs in the third-tier, will also be a team seeking to be upwardly mobile in this campaign. Alex Revell’s side are unlikely to be top six mainstays this season, but he is blessed with some very good options across the park and they should push into the top-half.

Stevenage will be a tough test for Blackpool to try and breakdown on the opening day of the season, but the hosts do remain favourites for this one on the Lancastrian coast.
