Blackpool vs Huddersfield prediction

Blackpool have embarked upon a busy and impressive summer after a good end to last season, but the Tangerines began with a 3-2 defeat at home to Stevenage. They have since been hammered 4-1 by Exeter City at St James Park before a surprise EFL Cup first round exit, losing 1-0 at home to Port Vale in midweek.

In contrast, Huddersfield Town managed to defeat Leicester City on penalties the other day. That has backed up back-to-back victories, with the Terriers defeating Leyton Orient by three goals to nil at the John Smith’s Stadium before then winning 2-0 away at Reading, with Huddersfield adapting well to rookie boss Lee Grant.

There is pressure on Blackpool for this game already by the Lancashire coast, and they could well struggle to break down a Huddersfield side still trying to gel.

Blackpool vs Huddersfield tip: Under 2.5 goals
