Blackburn vs Birmingham prediction

Valerien Ismael was immediately under pressure at Blackburn Rovers in the spring, but they finished the season well. This season has not started well, though, with Ismael’s former club West Bromwich Albion defeating them by a goal to nil at The Hawthorns last weekend, before a 2-1 loss to League One side Bradford City in the EFL Cup.

Birmingham City are set to be backed by 7,000 supporters at Ewood Park as the Blues continue a campaign they will hope will deliver them back to the Premier League. They were pegged back to a 1-1 draw at St Andrew’s by Ipswich Town due to a controversial penalty last week before beating Sheffield United by two goals to one in the cup.

Birmingham have started the season as the better side against two strong Championship teams and it would seem a good bet to back them in Lancashire this week.

Blackburn vs Birmingham tip: Birmingham to win
