Birmingham vs Southampton prediction

Birmingham City come into this one on the back of a 1-1 draw with Derby County in the second city the other day. Chris Davies, who led the Blues to promotion last season, is now under immense pressure in charge of the ambitious City, having extended their winless run of form to five matches.

Southampton had been much-improved after the appointment of Tonda Eckert but the coach, who had done an impressive job on an interim basis, have now collected just one point from their last three matches. The Saints suffered a shock 2-1 defeat to Oxford United at the Kassam Stadium on Boxing Day.

Southampton will head to Birmingham as firm favourites and they should be able to come out on top with Birmingham’s form slipping and the pressure growing.

Birmingham vs Southampton tip: Southampton to win
