Birmingham vs Peterborough Prediction

Birmingham City earned themselves promotion back to the Championship the other day with a 2-1 win away at their upcoming opponents Peterborough United at London Road. The Blues spent over £30 million last summer and being champions was a bare minimum with the 106-point EFL record in their sights ahead of their final six matches of the campaign.

Peterborough United have been losing playoff semi-finalists in each of the last two seasons but it has been a much tougher campaign this time around after the departures of several key players last summer. However, they have hit some form in recent months and are now seeking to become the first team to ever defend the EFL Trophy title.

Birmingham have a squad that, based on spend, should challenge for second-tier promotion let alone third-tier. Peterborough have some players that can and have hurt their opposition so it could be a fun watch for the neutral, albeit Birmingham remain firm favourites.

Birmingham vs Peterborough Tip: Birmingham to win & both teams to score
