The first-leg of this UEFA Europa League third qualifying round tie saw Besiktas edge to a likely crucial 1-0 victory in Czechia against Hradec Kralove, courtesy of an 80th minute strike scored by versatile attacker Semih Kilicsoy.
Hradec Kralove produced a surprise in the previous round when they comfortably defeated Tromso but they have run up against a Besiktas side that refreshed their European chops with an impressive defeat of Midtjylland at the same time.
Besiktas have been off the mark for some time now but they have pulled off some good results in their last month or so and the expectation is that they complete a comfortable two-legged win in Istanbul here.
