Bayern Munich vs Valerenga prediction
Having gone unbeaten in the league phase since their Matchday 1 defeat to Barcelona, Bayern Munich have put enough points on the board now to ensure at least a knockout phase play-off place, and they could even secure a direct route into the quarter-finals should things fall their way on Wednesday evening.
The German side, who defeated Hamburger 6-0 in the Frauen-Bundesliga on Sunday, played out a competitive 2-2 draw with Atletico Madrid in last week's UEFA Women's Champions League fixture.
Valerenga have it all to do here, as the only way they can reach the play-offs is if they beat Bayern, and even then they are relying on OH Leuven not beating Arsenal.
The Norwegian outfit suffered late heartbreak last week against Paris FC last week, losing 0-1 at home after they conceded in the 82nd minute.
That defeat only makes their job harder here, but in all likelihood they only had a very slim chance against free-scoring Bayern. They did earn a draw against Bayern in last season's group stage - the only draw in all 48 group stage fixtures - but that match took place in Norway, with the reverse fixture in Germany resulting in a 3-0 Bayern win.
Bayern have been scoring goals for fun lately, and are worth backing in conjunction with over 2.5 goals.
Bayern Munich vs Valerenga tip: Bayern Munich to win & over 2.5 goals
